Welcome to the JHHS Alumni Association Website
Dear Alum,
Our alumni are the driving force behind providing book scholarships for the well deserving John Hay High School Seniors. JHHS is a campus of three separate schools, the Cleveland School of Architect & Design, the Cleveland School of Early College and the Cleveland School of Science & Medicine. The students that attend these schools are very intelligent and focused. The students, and teachers, must pass various entrance exams to attend and work at the schools. Our goal is to raise money for book scholarships through our membership drives, fundraising events, donations and JHHS Alumni merchandise. Our committee is made up of a dedicated few who donate their time, and money, to achieve this goal. Will you please consider helping the students out by participating in one of our fundraisers?
Sincerely,
JHHS Alumni Association
The John Hay High School Alumni Association is 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible, and a portion of all purchases are tax deductible.

CLEVELAND SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN!
Imagine a school for serious and successful students who plan to leave their mark on the world through design talents; a place where students are encouraged to explore their affinity for design as it relates to changing their environment and enriching their community.
At the Cleveland School of Architecture and Design, you’ll find computer labs, science labs and music rooms as well as a dance studio, garden and multimedia room – all in the spectacular, renovated historic John Hay building, home to a trio of innovative high schools. Additionally, a gym and indoor track at the school provide a wide array of athletic opportunities.
CLEVELAND SCHOOL OF SCIENCE & MEDICINE!
Our students have the opportunity to partake in unique experiences through after school programs internships and research positions. Our Health Professions Affinity Program (HPAC), coordinated through NEOMED, empowers students by having them learn how to write research grants, present research findings and assist in programing that will improve our school and local community. These experiences help prepare them for problem-based curriculum and research-based learning throughout their education.
Additionally, our students have the opportunity to apply for the Joan C. Edwards Scholarship through Case Western Reserve University. The scholarship award covers tuition, room, board and other expenses of attendance during the course of the recipient’s undergraduate career at Case Western Reserve University, as well as their four years at the Case School of Medicine. The current Joan C. Edwards Scholars are comprised entirely of CSSM students.
CSSM offers a rigorous program of coursework throughout each student’s four years. Students take biology and chemistry in their first two years, giving them the chance to take advanced placement courses or engage in postsecondary educational opportunities at one of our local universities in their last two years. Throughout a student’s time at CSSM, opportunities for supplemental learning outside of the classroom are provided. Such activities include visiting world-renowned medical institutions, tours of local medical and science museums, and semester-long projects with Case Western Reserve University medical students.
